The Palmetto Association for Children and Families is proud to announce, in partnership with the Nord Family Foundation, the launch of the Mid-Level Managers Institute. This initiative will provide education, support and leadership that strengthens the capacity of our member agencies to produce positive outcomes for children and their families.
The focus of the Mid-Level Managers Institute will be exploring barriers to women and people of color advancing in child welfare careers and provide opportunities for professional growth, networking and technical support.
Participation in this effort is open to all PAFCAF members with the following characteristics:
- Females and/or person of color;
- 5 years experience working in the field of child welfare;
- 3 years experience working in current agency; and
- Must be nominated by an Executive Director or CEO through letter of recommendation.
Those individuals chosen to participate will participate in face-to-face meetings every other month in Columbia; attend conference calls during months without meetings; attend PAFCAF’s annual leadership retreat in Charleston in June (registration will be complementary); and complete required reading and ancillary research.
The Institute will run from March 2018 through November 2018.
